Required Motorcycle Insurance Florida

Is it required to have motorcycle insurance in Florida?

So, I’m buying a motorcycle this week, I’m taking the motorcycle safety course and getting the endorsement put on my license, but I was talking to a friends mother yesterday, and she told me that it’s not required to have Motorcycle insurance in Florida. . . is this true? Granted, I’ll probably get it anyway, just to be safe, but is it something that is optional?

the state of florida did not require, motorcycles to be insured when i lived their ten years ago, but i was involved in a crash that was not my fault, (crooked cops) and they smacked me hard! would be best if you had it ,but the laws may have changed by now?

Motorcycle Insurance Dairyland

What is the absolute best, maximum protection motorcycle insurance for me? 20/F 1st time rider.?

I am willing to pay more, I just dont want to get cheap insurance that doesn’t cover me. No subrogation clauses, I want to be covered as much as I possibly can. I am in TX. Is Allstate good? My car is under Allstate. I have heard Dairyland Insurance is good…anyone have experience with it? I dont have any tickets or violations on my record.

I have Dairyland….full coverage comes w/ an extra 5000$ rider, for chrome and accessories, you have receipts for…..

Auto Insurance Medical Payments Coverage

Auto Insurance Medical Payments Coverage
Did I get a cheap Auto Insurance?

Not sure if I got a good deal from Geico. I insured my new 2008 Mazda and and old Honda Civic. I live in SoCal.

Liability Coverages for both:

Bodily Injury = $500,000/$750,000.
Property Damage = $50,000.
Medical Payments = $25,000.
Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury = $500,000/$500,000.

Plus Collision and Comprehensive Coverage for the new car.

Total Premium = $528.70 (6 months coverage)

Is this expensive? Did I choose the right amount for the coverage?
$528.70 is the total Premium I would pay every 6 months. That includes the liability coverages for both cars. The new car also has Comprehensive and Collision.
I mean $528.70 is the total balance

That is a good deal….especially for Southern California.

You could probably get away with changing the bodily injury and uninsured to 300K/500K to save a few bucks, but there is nothing wrong with being conservative….especially in CA.
