Auto Insurance Phone Numbers

Auto Insurance Phone Numbers
Who keeps getting random class from a company claiming that your auto insurance is expired?

I keep getting these calls on my cell and house phone from random numbers that are automated messages. They tell me my auto insurance is expiring in a year. Funny thing is i don’t even own a car!!!!! I have been reading that they are calling from the company digitcom but there like scam people or something. Anyone else have the same problem?
sorry i made a typo its supposed 2 say calls not class

It’s just advertising. It’s the cell phone equivalent of junk mail. Delete and ignore.

Auto Insurance Financed

Auto Insurance Financed
New York State Auto Insurance Collision, needed for financed car?

Does New York State’s Auto-Insurance laws require financed cars to have collision on them?

Yes. Even if they didn’t the finance company would require it. In NY, you need a $500 deductible or lower.

Auto Insurance Down Payment

Auto Insurance Down Payment
Can I drop gap insurance from my car loan?

When I purchased a new car I did not put enough down so they said I needed gap coverage, so I stupidly agreed to build it into my car loan. I should have said no and purchased it through my insurance carrier, but hindsight is always 20/20. I would like to know if I can call my finance company and tell them to remove the rest of the gap coverage to lower my payment so that I can pick it up through my auto carrier. Let me know. Thanks.

I doubt it. You would have to renegotiate a new loan without the gap insurance

Auto Insurance Stacking

Auto Insurance Stacking
help with auto insurance coverage?

Should I take stacking or non-stacking and what does that mean? Also what limits of liability should I have?

yes, you should take stacking. this protects you the most in case of an accident and or injury. Most states have laws giving minimum limits of liability. I recommend you have the level just above minimum. Minimum limits often are not enough to cover the damage to someone else’s auto or medical expenses. With the rising costs of cars and repairs, along with rising healthcare costs, that money can be eaten up before you know it. There is also usually some greedy lawyer representing the injured person and he makes sure to get his 1/3.
